SOAP DISH
This Wheat Straw Draining Soap Dish from SoEthical is exactly what you need to make your luxury soap last. Comprised of mainly wheat straw, we present to you an eco-friendly alternative to your standard soap dish that you won’t need to worry about replacing!

This soap dish is designed with ridges that elevate your soap bar, allowing water to drain from the bar into the basin. That water is channeled down the slanted base toward the front of the dish where it exits through a spout into the sink, bathtub, or shower. This prevents water from pooling in the dish and keeps your soap dry. Drying soap after usage reduces saturation and greatly extends the lifespan.

WHAT IS WHEAT STRAW?

Wheat straw is an agricultural byproduct of the production of wheat.  Products that are manufactured out of agricultural crop waste offer important environmental and economic advantages over other production methods.

Agricultural crops, such as wheat straw, are easier to turn into pulp than wood, and therefore, require fewer toxic solvents to turn them into a pulp for product making.

Agricultural waste will be readily available as long as humanity engages in agriculture. Instead of wheat straw going directly to compost, it can take a side-trip from the cycle of life to serve as a soap dish first.

Directing agricultural waste into product making provides an additional income stream for farmers, without putting new land into production.

HOW DO I PROPERLY DISPOSE OF THE SOAP DISH TO MINIMIZE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT?

The Wheat Straw Draining Soap Dishes are compostable at industrial composting sites.  Contact your local Waste Management to see if there is a site located near you.

I AM GLUTEN INTOLERANT, WILL THIS ITEM NEGATIVELY IMPACT MY HEALTH?

The stalks of wheat plants do not store protein, gluten, or allergens. Those are stored in the grains, and the soap dishes do not contain gluten or allergens.
